Hallertau Brewery is no ordinary brewpub. Based in Riverhead, they’re known for bold craft beer, wood-fired food, and a venue that feels part biergarten, part backyard. So when they launched a limited-run Bolognese sauce—yes, a handcrafted sauce from a craft brewery they needed packaging that told the story just as well as the product itself. The ask? A folding hang tag that could carry a full recipe, reflect their premium brand, and still hang neatly from a bottle on shelf.

We digitally printed 250 concertina-fold tags on 250gsm Top Flight board—thick enough to hold its shape but still fold beautifully. Full-colour on both sides gave Hallertau’s white-on-red branding the punch it needed, while the inner panels detailed ingredients and prep instructions. Everything was die-cut to a custom shape using a new cutting form, then weeded and supplied flat for final folding onsite.

This piece did double duty: it told a story and sold the product. The compact 45x94mm folded size made it perfect for retail, while the unfolding action encouraged customers to interact with the brand. That’s not just packaging—that’s engagement.
