Hallertau Brewery, an award-winning craft brewery in Riverhead, Auckland, is known for bold, flavour-forward beers that stand out on tap and in the bottle. For the seasonal release of their Resurgence Strong NZ Pale Ale, they needed tap badges that would match the premium gold foil finish of their bottle labels, but also hold up in a busy, high-turnover bar environment.

Gold foil isn’t practical on removable self-adhesive vinyl, so we took a smarter route. We started with a metallic gold vinyl base, then printed multiple coats of white ink to block out areas that shouldn’t shine. Over that, we applied the coloured background before precision kiss-cutting each 85mm badge to shape. The result? A perfect metallic gold look that nailed Hallertau’s premium aesthetic, with the durability to handle the demands of bar service.
