Nestled in Riverhead, just outside Auckland, Hallertau Brewery is a pioneer of New Zealand’s modern craft beer scene — and one of our longest-standing keg collar clients. With an ever-evolving lineup of beers and a commitment to freshness, they needed a way to brand kegs clearly and consistently across dozens of SKUs, without slowing down production or adding friction for their team.

We’ve produced tens of thousands of flat keg collars for Hallertau since 2017, using a standardised setup we’ve refined to serve over 30 breweries across New Zealand. Every collar is printed on sturdy 284gsm Formakote Natura board, diecut to a precise 93 × 186mm, and supplied flat for efficient storage and quick application. Colours stay sharp, even after time in the chiller — and we keep their artwork, samples, and print settings on file for fast, repeatable reprints with no colour surprises.

Static details: beer name, style, ABV, branding, are pre-printed, with space left for batch codes and dates to be added on site. It’s a practical, repeatable system that keeps quality high and turnaround times low.

We offer two keg collar formats: the flat style used by Hallertau (simple, cost-effective, reliable), and a folding version — like the one we produce for Ground Up Brewing — that locks the tap badge in place for extra hold during transport. Both are built on the same print specs, using shared dies and structures developed in-house, meaning consistent results, sharp pricing, and faster turnarounds no matter your format.
