In 2024, the Wellington City Council came to us with a clear brief: produce a high-quality workbook for Te Piere o te Reo, a week-long event celebrating fluent te reo Māori speakers. They needed something that looked polished, felt great to use, and would hold up.

They originally considered embossing for the cover, but we suggested a smarter, more cost-effective option—spot UV gloss over a scuff-resistant matt laminate on 350gsm satin stock. The result was striking, durable, and a big hit with event attendees.

Inside, each 114-page workbook was printed in full colour on 100gsm offset stock, and wiro bound along the left edge for durability and ease of use. We used our Konica Minolta AccurioPress C4070, which gave us flawless colour consistency and perfect alignment across the run—every page sharp, every colour on point.
