ComplyWith is a Wellington-based legal compliance platform helping organisations across New Zealand get their compliance right, without the guesswork. For their “Building Blocks of Good Compliance” initiative, they needed a premium, tactile training tool: 300 sets of custom double-sided playing cards, neatly packaged in branded cartons.

Each set included 28 custom-sized cards (76mm x 110mm, rounded corners), printed in full colour both sides. The goal was to turn complex compliance ideas into something accessible, hands-on and memorable, using the power of a well-designed physical tool to reinforce learning. The impact was clear: just two months after the initial run, ComplyWith returned for a second order of another 300 units.

The project involved tight deadlines, late-stage design changes and multiple decision-makers, so speed, precision and proactive support were non-negotiable. We produced structural carton prototypes early, advised on format options (wallet vs tuck-in vs two-piece), and supported Salted Herring’s design team with precise, production-ready dielines.

The final packs were printed on our Konica Minolta AccurioPress C4070, delivering flawless colour consistency across all sets. Cards were printed on 300gsm Pro-Digital Silk stock and matte laminated both sides for durability and smooth handling. The cartons were printed on 260gsm Tiger FBB board, matte laminated one side for protection and a refined, soft-touch feel. Internal messaging beneath the flap completed the unboxing experience.
